At Hoot Studios we specialise in voice recording and audio post-production for Film, TV and digital content. We also film and edit podcasts for a range of clients.
We're a bi-lingual team working in both English and Welsh, here to listen, create and deliver world class audio for your projects.

The equipment:
Well there's two studios running Pro Tools, Dolby Atmos mixing, a large voice over room, beautiful sounding microphones and the ability to connect with studios and clients around the world via Source Connect, Zoom, and other remote connections.
We record voiceovers and ADR in our professionally built and calibrated studios. We work remotely on projects on a weekly basis and also offer an audio consultancy service for both pre-production and post-production planning. Our studios have floating floors for sound isolation and air conditioning. There's also comfortable client areas, refreshments and a wide range of cafes and restaurants nearby. Parking available upon request.

Ifan Tomos
Ifan has worked in TV & Radio for over 20 years at a number of independent production companies and broadcasters including the BBC, ITV and on projects for S4C, Discovery Science and Channel 4 and now as a post-producer at Hoot.
His experience of both the production and post-production side of the media industry means Hoot is well positioned to provide an excellent level of service to our clients.

Rhys Young
Rhys is a highly skilled audio professional with extensive experience as a dubbing mixer, ADR mixer, recording engineer, sound designer, and foley artist.
In addition to his post-production work, Rhys provides Audio Description services for CTV Sound Studios.
As a fluent Welsh speaker, he is well-suited for bilingual projects, bringing authenticity and precision to Welsh-language productions.
Rhys has worked with a diverse array of clients, including major broadcasters and brands. His portfolio includes television series, films, and corporate content, as well as TV commercials.

Meurig Hailstone
Meurig has been with Hoot's parent company CTV Sound Studios since 2003 and has worked on numerous animation re-voicing projects as both a recording engineer and dubbing mixer.
Also being a Welsh speaker helps Meurig with his regular audio-description recording and voice over sessions.
Meurig has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to analogue and digital audio, mixing and printing sound for film and best practice in audio delivery and transmission.
