About us

At Hoot Studios we specialise in voice recording and audio post-production for Film, TV and digital content. We also film and edit podcasts for a range of clients.

We're a bi-lingual team working in both English and Welsh, here to listen, create and deliver world class audio for your projects.

Our ethos:

We believe great talent is key, that's why we've got some of the best sound designers and mixers to work on your projects. Collaboration is at the heart of our approach. We listen carefully to your needs and your ideas.

And the kit?

Well there's two studios running Pro Tools, Dolby Atmos mixing, a large voice over room, beautiful sounding microphones and the ability to connect with studios and clients around the world via Source Connect, Zoom, and other remote connections.

We record voiceovers and ADR in our professionally built and calibrated studios. We work remotely on projects on a weekly basis and also offer an audio consultancy service for both pre-production and post-production planning. Our studios have floating floors, a fresh air supply and air conditioning.

Testimonials

I can't recommend Hoot Studios enough. We worked with Rhys and Ifan to record our first podcast. It was a completely new experience for us and they made it so easy and seamless. We really enjoyed the whole process and are so impressed with the final product! We hope to work with Hoot Studios again very soon. Thanks again Rhys and Ifan!

I commissioned Rhys Young and Hoot Studios to record the first three novels in the Inspector Drake mystery series. The process has been a very positive experience and I found Rhys to be helpful and professional. Communication was excellent and the standard of production first class. I was thoroughly pleased with the audio books produced and all the feedback from listeners has been positive. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Rhys and Hoot studios and I shall be looking forward to working with him again in the future.
